- Janet I. Mason
Janet I. Mason is an associate at Teplitsky, Colson LLP and a member of Mr. Colson's litigation practice group. She obtained her J.D. at Osgoode Hall Law School (2005) and was one of less than 10 graduates to achieve a specialized degree in Litigation, Dispute Resolution and the Administration of Justice. Prior to obtaining her degree, Ms. Mason had a career in business. This combined legal and business background brings a value-added perspective to commercial clients. Ms. Mason had the exceptional experience of clerking for the Superior Court of Justice (2005-2006). She has also contributed to a legal text in the areas of constitutional, aboriginal and human rights law, which is used nationally. Ms. Mason is presently an editor of Ontario Courtroom Procedure. Ms. Mason has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice. She has dealt with matters that include breach of contract, conversion, fraud, commercial leases, real property, trade-mark opposition, various tort grounds, negligent investigation, wrongful dismissal and collections. Ms. Mason joined Teplitsky, Colson LLP in 2010 after being a sole practitioner with an emphasis on commercial litigation.
